Permavent Apex

Permavent Apex is our industry leading and revolutionary 3 layer breather membrane which is UKCA certified and accepted by NHBC. Permavent Apex is both air and vapour permeable, which provides unique condensation control and eliminates the need for high or low level ventilation. Permavent Apex has also been endorsed by NHBC  for use as an unsupported roof underlay in cold pitched without the need to provide any ventilation at high or low level. It also provides a secondary barrier to water ingress with a W1 head of water resistance.

Permavent Apex is unique to other similar products on the market where the membrane is available in both taped and untaped rolls. The integrated tape is a unique double sided tape system which offers installers speed and ease of installation, and cost savings, where the laps of the membrane are restrained in any weather condition using a 100mm head lap (As opposed to 150mm) and meet the BS5534 standard. This can reduce Apex membrane waste by up to 25%.

PERMAVENT APEX

Fire Rated Membranes: Skytech PRO XL and Safeshield XT Reflect

Alongside our range of versatile membranes, we are pleased to offer an additional two A2 Fire rated membranes for use in walling and roofing applications. These membranes have been vigorously tested and certified, and can greatly enhance the fire safety of any dwelling by containing a fire prior to an uncontrollable spread through cavity gaps and similar. These membranes boast an A2 limited combustibility fire rating, which is the closest standard achievable to being classified as an A1 non combustible fire rated product.

Safeshield: Safeshield XT Reflect is an A2-s1, d0 fire rated construction membrane for the use in high rise, high risk, offsite and modular construction projects. It is the UK’s most competitive walling membrane and alongside its A2 fire classification, Safeshield boasts an impressive W1 head of water resistance, has enhanced UV performance and superior thermal benefits with its reflective material.

Skytech: Skytech PRO XL is an A2-s1, d0 insulating breathable membrane. It offers superior thermal, waterproof, soundproof and airtight properties and for an insulating breather membrane is very thin at only 13mm. It is suitable for roofing and façade applications including high rise and high risk buildings over 18m. The innovative installation of a thatched roof utilising Skytech instead of traditional fire boards has been recognised for its achievements and shortlisted for a Pitched Roofing award.
