Permavent is pleased to announce that as of the 29th July 2021, we are now a registered Building Systems Support Member of the Structural Timber Association (STA). The aim of the STA is to drive quality and product innovation through expert technical guidance and research. Membership is dependent on passing STA Assure – a quality standard assessment. STA Assure offers reassurances to the construction community that members meet or exceed the current legislation and regulatory requirements – something which has always been of the highest priority to Permavent.
This membership signifies our association with yet another highly credible and leading construction organisation who adhere to the highest quality and technical standards and a code of conduct by which all member companies operate. The STA were established to influence legislation and regulation to improve the overall objectives of the structural timber sector, and to support sustainable off-site construction.
The Permavent range of products naturally complement the STA’s mission of driving product innovation. Our range of membranes offer the highest quality and protection to structural timber across both domestic and commercial construction projects. For example, Permavent Apex; our NHBC endorsed, three layer air and vapour permeable breather membrane which provides unique condensation control without the need for high or low level ventilation.
Also registered with the STA; Permavent’s patented Easy Roof System is at the forefront of roofing innovation, providing an effective, long term and sustainable solution to pitching roofs as low as 12 degrees. This helps to protect the structural timber underneath the roof tiles or slates, as it provides a highly effective drainage solution at such a low pitch without compromising on the style or quality specified on the brief.
Permavent’s Managing Director Timo Yeremeyev commented on the registration of the business with the STA:
“Permavent is really proud to be associated with the Structural Timber Association, who for many years have been at the forefront of driving innovation and improvement across the construction sector. This further signifies our commitment as a business to support sustainable building practices, whilst offering contractors training and education to further bolster their skills when using Permavent products in their projects. We look forward to our ongoing relationship with the STA as it continues to grow.”
