Over the years Belsay Hall had suffered from severe water ingress, caused by its exposed location and driving rain. The full low pitched roof restoration of 900m² took two years to complete and due to the large nature of this renovation, English Heritage not only needed a reliable solution to a roof that had deteriorated and failed over past years, but also one that ensured that the aesthetics remained the same as the original roof from the early 1800’s.
