A new project is now available to view on our Case Studies page: the Natwest Bank building in Witney, Oxfordshire has had a new roof installed utilizing Permavent APEX air-and-vapour permeable membrane in the project plan.
Witney is located in Oxfordshire and is a conservation area, which means the new roof needed to fit with the local aesthetic and look as close to the original materials as possible. The new tiles, designed and sold by Cardinal Slates, provide the look of natural slate combined with the cost-effectiveness and ease of installation that concrete tiles provide.
To preserve the natural look it was important that the roof wouldn’t need new ventilation added at high or low elevations, which is why Permavent APEX was the perfect choice as it is both air and vapour permeable, greatly reducing the chance of condensation and trapped moisture.
Ben Lynden, lead on the project and a director of installers Blackpool Roofing said, “The APEX quality is second to none, it held strong against heavy foor traffic and will be my membrane of choice going forward.”
